According to reports, TikTok announced the official launch of a new logistics service, Fulfilled by TikTok, in the UK. The social network once again launched a direct challenge to e-commerce giants such as Amazon, Shein and Temu. FBT is a logistics service provided by TikTok for Britain, where TikTok Shop can store, select and package the products of merchants, and then transport them to TikTok community. It aims to help merchants get rid of time-consuming logistics through simple, fast and economical solutions, so that they can focus on important aspects of their business, such as marketing, content and product development.
In this way, TikTok can shorten the delivery time and improve the shopping experience of customers. A spokesman for TikTok said: “We are proud to announce the launch of Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT), a new logistics plan, which makes it easier for sellers who use TikTok Shop in the UK to sell on this platform than ever before.” Fulfilled by TikTok provides automatic daily delivery service for all orders placed by users before 7: 00 pm from Monday to Saturday, as well as quality next working day delivery service. The weight of each package delivered shall not exceed 30 kg and the volume shall not exceed 31.5 cubic liters.
Merchants who register FBT will hand over a certain amount of inventory and then store it in the warehouse. Merchants do not have to store all SKUs in the warehouse, nor do they have to use FBT； for all products; They can choose specific items that they want to store and transport through FBT.
Once the merchant’s goods are stored in FBT warehouse, after placing an order, the warehouse will pick, package and label the goods before delivery-all through a seamless service.
In order to qualify for FBT, the merchant must be located in the UK (and deliver goods to the UK), and the weight of each package delivered should not exceed 30 kg or the cubic volume should not exceed 31.5 cubic liters. TikTok Shop charges for warehousing, transportation and other value-added services (such as labeling, pre-packaging and inserting leaflets). It is reported that since November last year, TikTok has been testing FBT with some British sellers.
